However due to the Covid-19 Pandemic at the time of writing this and scalpers (people buying all available stock of new tech and selling them on ebay for outrageous money) all of which is leading to shortages for a lot of components for building PC's

I will only update the blog with the parts I will actually be using and when they actually arrive

Flan's PC Build 2025


Introduction


This page will act as a progress report for my new PC build For 2025. 

I have always used CPU's from Intel but due to their issues with their 13th and 14th gen high end CPU's and very poor performance of their newest Core Ultra 200 CPU's and also their very poor lifespan of CPU sockets i.e. only getting roughly 2 generations before having to change motherboards for newest CPU's

This is why I am jumping ship to AMD, as you get 3 to 4 or more  generations of CPU before having to change motherboards.

I  use my PC for workstation duty more than for games so this build will be the same as my current system, more workstation focused rather than for gaming. Don't get me wrong this new system will be more than capable of playing games when necessary.
